A Few of My Favorite Things

December 18, 2016

Sometimes there are things we just gush over. Small, large, simply novel, or complete game changers. Gift ’em or keep ’em, you won’t be disappointed. Here are a *few* of my favorites.

Savannah Bee Company

Savannah Bee Company Royal Jelly Body Butter. It feels like custard for your skin–it will take care of dry elbows and ankles in a flash, lock in post-shower moisture, provide a wonderful pick-me-up at any time of day, and comes in 6.7 oz and 1.65 oz jars in the original formula (my favorite of favorites), sensitive skin, and tupelo honey. Savannah Bee is an all around great company too, working very hard to preserve the bee population. Not to be missed, and your skin will thank you.

Cinnamon Hill

Ever wonder what the heck to do with a cinnamon stick? Cinnamon Hill has a grater specifically for cinnamon. They sell both ceylon and Saigon as well (Saigon cinnamon is a close relative of cassia cinnamon. Click here and here to learn about the difference between the two.) You will begin to wonder why you ever bought a spice jar of the stuff when you could grind it fresh.

Pascha Chocolate

All right, I am always on the lookout for a super chocolate bar–not only does it have to taste incredible, it also cannot contain additives or any unnatural ingredients. You know, the usual crap you’ll find in a conventional bar of “chocolate.” Pascha makes fantastic chocolate and for me their 55% cacao with cacoa nibs is to die for. They make a no b.s. chocolate bar in an allergen-free facility and their products are organic, fair trade, non-gmo, vegan, and kosher! Whew! The added bonus is that their product is beyond.

The Wax Seal

Okay, so I have a small obsession with honey bees. Melissa does mean honey bee after all. However, while I am clearly a fan of my own name, I am also a fan of the wax seal. It is a gorgeous touch for your handwritten correspondence, your homemade gifts, and honestly, it’s just a ton of fun. There are several places I’m sure you can find these things, but I’ve found that Happy Jewelry Supplies on Etsy has a wide array of choices in stamp design as well as wax, their prices are quite reasonable, and you can even design your own!

Have fun! Happy Holidays! Now go eat some chocolate.
